Default Doubledin Caos!

Hey guys, im new to the ranger forum and looking for some help. I bought a pioneer doubledin and im kind of baffled... the factory stereo comes with the slide retainer in the back... how do i secure the deck in place???? There is no spot on the deck for the retainer and i dont want it hanging free... any advise???

thx tips.... i already have one.... i bought it for 25 bucks but... it isnt very good... just thought there would be a couple more tricks out there.

lol yeah the magic of duct tape.

I'm sure someone thats put a Double Din unit in before would have a idea.

huge lag bolts through the top of the dash into the headunit! hahaha just kidding, if you haven't already try reading the directions for the dash kit. if not post up some pics of the problem maybe its possible to figure out a creative solution.

I've got a double din, and the dash kit came with pieces that hooked onto the lip that the factory radio clipped to. Had to trim the lip on the top and bottom to fit the head unit though.

thx guys but i got er done... i bought a mounting kit for the deck but nothing fit. ended up using super glue and silicone to make my own. a retired installer gave me some tips. thx for every body with legit answers. an kiss my bumper for the ones with dumb answers....
