But it's fine to run it normally at 4 Ωs.

You can run a speaker anyway you want parallel, series, 0-8 Ωs, etc...
But if it's not rated for it, then don't bother.
Same for amps. A lot of people like to run at least 2 or more subs at 2 Ωs or lower but if your amp isn't rated stable at that resistance then you'll either cook it or shorten it's life.

I run a five channel amp, so I like to run everything at 4 Ωs. If I wanted more power or run more subs in parallel then I'd get a separate amp. A single 12" in a ported enclosure is plenty for me. I don't want to blow out my window seals.

But believe it or not, there are component speakers rated to run stable at 2 Ωs.

It's funny that you give out a lot of car audio advice and don't know this.
A speaker is always going to be the same impedance no matter what amp you use. Amps are rated to be used at different impedances, speakers are a set impedance. You cannot change the impedance of the speaker. You can wire speakers in different configurations to show a different impedance or load to an amp, such as wiring 2 - 4 ohm subwoofers in parallel fro a 2 ohm load to an amp. And yes, there is alot more to it than that, and I do know all about it.

Umm I thought 2-4 way speakers are coaxial speakers

Yea it's funny how he's a "bundle full of knowledge" when it comes to speakers (which wasn't the point of my first post anyways)
And then the guy asking about how to take his door panels off... he just blows him off by saying "look in the how-to[s]"

By the way.. did I mention my speakers are still for sale.
Pioneer 6882's for cheap on amazon!
