Default my 1st system.. i would appreciate a few ideas

First of all im very new at all this car audio stuff so bear with me. I have a 05 edge ext cab and so far all i have is my premier deh-p800prs deck which was professionally installed, and my amp http://www.audison.eu/index_main.php?Section=SRX5 which I have installed personally.

right now I have ran new speaker wire to the rear speakers with the old ones and connected them temporarily to the factory speakers, and tomorrow hopefully find time to do that to the fronts as well.

right now, my idea is the front speakers will go onto the high outputs, the rears on mids, and the sub, no brainer there... on the low. does that sound about right?

I was wondering what kind of speakers and sub would work great in this setup? I'm not looking for crazy competition sound or to break the bank, but a great overall clean sound.

so i installed my new speakers, and ran them off the amplifier, Doing so I lost my ablilty to fade my speakers left to right and front and back, i mean it works, but it just seems the front ones work, and when all the way forward its muted, and also I cannot use the auto EQ anymore... does this seem about right?

No. Seems like you need to go back and recheck your wiring.

In regards to your system:
I personally own the Pioneer 3 way 6x8s running off of a Pioneer DEH-3100UB deck with a 12" JL W1 sub and a JL 2150 amp.
My HU lets me setup my sound how you seem to be wanting yours to sound. Good highs up front with some mids. Mids mainly filtered to the rear 2. Of course the amp and sub doing their thing. This is a kick ass system, but no comp. winner either.

OK, I`ll give you guys a little more detail on what i did. I do have a few pictures I took during my install. 1st things first, I Ran all the pre-outs under the center console to the rear of the cab, huge hassle but keeps it clean. then from each speaker location, i then ran a new speaker wire back to the amp. I made sure to keep all the Positive wires, and negative wires the same.

In the back i then Installed a Alpine Type S 5"x7" in each door.

and the front I went with these pionner speakers http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...neer/TS-D1720C, and installed the crossover underneath the door panel.

Im not to sure if there was something im missing

this part worries me a little how did you hook up your front and rear speakers, they look like component up front and two voice in your rears they should both be getting full range not high pass or mid pass from the amp. the little box handles that for the front speaker and there should be some resistors in your rear speakers to do the same thing (they would come this way)

I scrapped doing it myself, i took out and returned those speakers. I decided to go with jl c2-650's instead and the matching tweets in the front, and getting them professionally installed, so atleast the work is guaranteed.

I also created this neat little amp rack, its just a temp one, until i figure out how i am going to place a sub back there, and going camping this weekend i needed my jack just in case, so i developed a solution!
