Want to buy double din. Will it fit???

Hey everyone! I was looking at buying this double din cd/dvd/mp3 player with a 6.5'' monitor. I have a 02 ranger and would like to if it would fit? I don't know if all double din's are the same size so thought I ask on here and see what I get. If you know, I would REALLY appreciate it because I really want to buy it ASAP. double din will fit a ranger

go to a audio store get a install kit that allows u to install 2 single din radios. one on top of the other. cut the center bar out and the double din will fit.

then u need to trim the radio bezel top and bottom. there is a lip u will see when u remove ur current radio

I got my install kit from the local car audio place, and it's for a double DIN, no bar to cut. You will have to trim your bezel though.

And trimming the bezel how is that done? Using a dremmel or just sand here sand there? I'm just trying to get everything answered and straight before I go and buy this unit.

I used a hot knife on mine, but a dremmel will work well too. I had to remove the entire lip on the top and bottom of the bezel. When you get it out, you'll see what I mean. It's not a visible area once the radio is installed, so you don't have to make it look perfect.

I got mine from a audio store. go there tell them what ur doing and they will hook you up.

mine was 20 dollars

20 dollars for what? A install kit? Or for them to hook you up? I'm looking at getting this product... Might as well spend the few extra bucks to get touch screen that way I won't complain in the long run and decide to get a touch screen as a replacement. My friend from Florida has one in his Ranger and it is very nice. And there is good reviews and rating on it. Going to look into it more buying clicking the little small buy button lol. I would go with a brand that has proven itself. I would never buy WalMart brand stereo components.

i wnet with shitty subs and amps and they are already blown lol i went cheap cuz i used all my money building the encloser and from experiance go name brand man

I'm running Kenwood, and IIRC, STL is running Alpine. We're both quite happy, though I am just a bit jealous of Myke. So our advice, get the good stuff and don't look back.
