Default Mach CD/MP3 player died.

Well, my Mach CD/MP3 player has been making a weird clicking noise for about 6 months now. On Wednesday I loaded up my son, got some tunes, headed to the babysitter before I went to work. I attempted to put a new CD in and the CD player freaked out. Started the normal clicking, then it would only eject the CD about 3 mm for a second or two. I had to grab my needle nose player to yank the CD out, good thing it was a burned CD. After the CD was out it continued to click for about a minute then read DISC ERR. I was unable to select anything, CD/radio/clock, damn thing was froze. Tried to turn the truck off and on, no dice.

So today I ripped it out and put in a cheap after market CD player. It's a Dual. Yeah, I have never heard of it either but it was cheap($90) and it has a USB for my Ipod. No more CD's to carry around. And here it is:

Hows this unit been working out for you? I have been looking at a similar one (DUAL) looks the same but has Bluetooth and HD Radio. Looks like you got bluetooth in yours too. where did you pick it up for 90?

So far so good. It been a nice little unit. The one I have has HD radio and is Bluetooth ready. I have to purchase another part from Dual to have blutooth. The Ipod connectivity is nice though. Pretty easy to navigate my Ipod/Iphone. I got it at Walmart. The one with Bluetooth didn't have HD radio that I saw but it was $100

i had the same problem with my cd player when i got my ranger. i also had to take tweezers to my cd to get it out.little did i know that it was because my sister in law stuck two cds in the player at the same time. you might want to look and see if there was an extra disc or part of one in there. luckily my truck was under warranty and i took it back got a new radio for free but lived without cds for six months before i got it to work.
