Default AUX input install

Hey guys, so I have an 03 fx4 and it has the Mach stock stereo. However, it doesn't have an aux input. So my question is can u get car toys to install just an aux cable without having to buy an entire new deck? Thanks

Only way to really do it is a FM modulator. It will work but may not be up to your audio standards. Best way is a new HU with and Aux input.

There's a how to thread here for installing an aux jack. I haven't done it, so I don't know how tough it is.

I did this and it was totally worth it. I soldered mine to the radio input, so when my MP3 player or XM is on it overrides the radio signal so no fumbling with a silent cd. Great sound quality.
I put the AUX jack down next to the air bag switch near where it would be stock. I bought the 3.5mm input jack at Radio shack, 2 for $3.50 and I already had some wiring kicking around. It was a pain in the ass disassembling the radio with those tiny screws and soldering the wire to the tiny contact points. But if I can do it anyone can. I kept the stock radio because I don't want my truck looking like some 15 year old's fantasy.

This is one link that I think I used. I'm not sure if there was another one but you get the idea.

Here's how I added AUX input to my 2001 Ford radio: http://www.therangerstation.com/foru...39&postcount=1
It was simpler for a 2007+ Ford radio: https://imgur.com/a/xWGY6

There may be one other option, PAC Audio make an AUX In Interface.

The factory radio cannot have a built in 6 disk changer and it must have the ability to control an external 6 disk changer.

The PAC PXDX is the AUX in interface and the vehicle specific plug is PXHFD3.
