Probably a dumb question but...
do the standard cab Rangers (specifically the base XL models with the basic am/fm radio) have rear speakers? I looked it up in the Owner's Manual section and it didn't say anything about fade (front/rear) control in the sound system section.

My 1999 XL had the pods for speakers in the rear, but they were empty. I took my Infinity 5x7's out of the doors and installed them in the back, when I modified the doors to fit my 6x9's.

My 03 XL was empty didn't even have the wiring for them either. I had to run the wires back there

yeah mine probably just have the pods, becuase all i hear anyway is the door speakers.

my 2001 didnt. i took the rear ones out of my last ranger, a 1999. i just ran speaker wire to em from aftermarket head unit.

Well I got the truck today and guess what? it has the spots but no acual speakers in them
