Line output converter questions
Since I'm using the stock head unit for awhile, where would be the best place to put the LOC? Should I pull the head unit and put it there or would it be easier to splice it into the rear speaker wires at the back of the cab? Also, where do the speaker wires run for the back speakers?

Re: Line output converter questions
the best bet is to connect the line output converter behind the headunit. then run your signal wires down through the dash and whicever way you choose to run them through out the cab. what are the specs on your truck? i'll dig you up a wiring diagram so you will know the colors.

Re: Line output converter questions
plus if you run the loc behind your head unit.. if you ever get an aftermarket deck you don't need to re-run your rca's.

Why not just post it for all to see? It will likely help someone down the road too.
BTW, if you have the schematics for a lot of different Rangers let me know, it sounds like it would be useful information worthy of a sticky thread.

Re: Line output converter questions
I have a question here,
I just want to make sure I'm doing this right, I have a stock pioneer 6 disk HU on my 04, I want to add an amp and subwoofer while keeping the stock HU. So I add a high low line out converter, do you guys have a preference of which one is best? And splice it into one of the right and left wires for one of the speakers, Does it matter which speaker line I connect to? and which wire do i splice into for the remote amp turn off?
I am kind of a noob here I guess, any help would greatly appreciated.
-Thanks

Re: Line output converter questions
you actually wan to splice it into both pairs of rear speaker wires... the loc's they sell at best buy are very simple to hook up and come with instructions.
