Re: Can I adapt a Ford Radio with different adapters?
Be gentle. The choice to buy vs. fix a radio (to adding AUX input) is same as the choice to fix your truck vs. buy a new one (ie, throw $$$ at the problem). Many FRF members would rather try to fix their own truck rather than throw it away & buy a new truck, or even pay Ford dealership. It's a fun challenge for some, but not everyone. After all, it's a hobby, too.

There is also a thing called common sense that comes into play.

Putting an aftermarket radio in will be way way less hassle and not much more expensive buy the time you buy all this stuff and adapt it to work. You can get a blue tooth jvc headunit for under $100 and will only take roughly an hour to install. You will have better sound quality all around. Not to mention a ton more options on one unit without all that extra stuff. Just sayin

Re: Can I adapt a Ford Radio with different adapters?
Okay, I will be back in six months to a year with an update.
(one year later)
So, can I adapt a Ford Radio with different adapters? See, the thing is, one of the connectors fits, but the other one doesn't fit. But you know, I wouldn't mind having an aux line in the original radio either. I-I don't know what to do and my life has been a failure. My wife left me. She just wanted some music in the truck. I'm so ashamed.

Nope, your original radio cannot do it using a simple external adapter wire, cuz none of those external pins are INPUTS. Your radio can have AUX input only by the soldering method described here (easy) http://www.therangerstation.com/foru....php?p=1312839 or here (tricky) http://www.fordrangerforum.com/how-s...ock-radio.html Your "F6XF" seems to have inputs on green pins 7+8+15+16, so that might work (did you experiment with it?).
You can buy an external gadget (eg, FM transmitter, etc.) but then you might as well buy another (2008+) radio that already has AUX input.
An aftermarket radio is certainly the nicest solution, but most $$$. Your choice.
