I just put a jl e2150 amp and a jl 12w1 sub in my Ranger. Bridged the amp, tuned the input to about 30% of capacity and for me it sounds great. I'm not an audiophille by any means, but with the upgrades I've done to the audio in mine I couldn't be happier. Rock music sounds like rock music, and old school rap has definite chest pounding lows.

that amp is an AB class 2 channel amp. that mines you can run 2 subs(1 per channel) at 2 ohms. Or bridged at 4ohms. I'd recommend finding something else for subs. Would work for running front speakers though.

Prolly not on that amp.. A quick google of that amp shows at 3 ohms 300wrms.. The problem with JL is that they are trying to "reinvent the wheel" so to speak so it screws with the ratings as only jl subs are 3 ohms. So a 4 ohm sub is going to be less then the 300 watts.. I went your way and tried to make something work. I ran a a mtx tr45(250watts rms) off a small amp. I very quickly sold both to buy a high rated amp and sub. I know you want to make this work but its not worth the wasted money.
