Remote Bass Knob: A wired External Bass Control (EBC) is included with the MTX RT250D. The EBC connects to the amplifier using the supplied 17' RJ-25 cord, it's designed to mount under your vehicle's dash within arm's length so its easily accessible to the driver.

It's actually a remote gain knob. You will need the sub volume control in the headunit and this knob both turned up max when setting the sub amp gain. Hopefully your headunit has subwoofer RCA preouts.

My head unit is OEM. The previous owner wired it up so I've got amp power ground aux and RCA speaker wires ready to go. I'd assume the head unit must have RCA outs then.

No, it's probably an LOC (line output converter) on the speaker wire outputs. You should do yourself a favor and install a decent headunit.

Ya I should. I miss the headunit in the car I sold a month ago. It was a $100 kenwood unit and I am saving for another.

Save for a DD Pioneer with 6 way RCA preouts.

Nice set up dahenry. I actually had a dual (10") box that was way too big for my back area and it would only fit if I adjusted the driver's & passenger seats forward. That was a no go haha. Additionally, I only have one memphis sub on hand. I simply cut the box in half on my TS and now it just barely fits behind my seat even with the seat all the way back (: Now I just need to save for a decent 250w amp and an aftermarket HU.

Thanks man thats the main reason for my build so i can save space. I can actually slide my seat all the way back in the reclinded position and not touch the box. U should be able to find a decent head unit online

I definitely don't need touchscreen double din per-se; but I would like to have one for the ability to wire in a backup camera. Other than that I'll just get a single din and gladly utilize yet another junk/receipt pocket haha. Anyways, I think it is easier to change the volume using tactile objects like a knob rather than with a touchscreen.

I just watched a video on a bluetooth reciever and now I have to have one with bluetooth. There is no way around it...I need one haha. Maybe I'll get a Sony Xplod. But I do like having a usb input on the front because I feel like it is the easiest to keep inside my truck without having the temptation to bring it inside like an iPod or phone. It is also nice to have an aux input for those ocassions when you have someone in your truck and they want to play their own music. I like to have options but options=money haha
