Sub help!!!!!! Kicker l7 12s
Hey everyone.
Just bought 2 12" kicker l7s. I also bought a sound quest cap and zero gauge wire kit. All I need is the amp and box.
Most likely going with a ported box. Just wondering if anyone has pics of they're set up or if you guys recommend anything else.
Thanks!!

Can you still return the cap? If so, do. Just do the big 3 upgrade and you won't need a cap.
It's hard to recommend a box when you won't show us or tell us about your truck to see what type of box would fit the best

That's really the only thing they are good for.

They do, but it's only beneficial if you have a crappy electrical system.

Re: Sub help!!!!!! Kicker l7 12s
From what I can remember (it's been a while since I've paid attention) but I think the l7s like ported boxes better than sealed and you would just want to find one that has the correct volume and frequency tuning that the sub is designed for. The box is everything. You could have a $50 sub in a proper box and it would sound better than a $700 sub in a box that is not sufficient

You already have a battery for storing power. The alternator makes that power. If you want more power, upgrade the alternator. A cap is useful in comps where you want a 1-3 second burst of a certain frequency 'fart'.

I was meaning to upgrade my battery soon. I'm going with the optima red top. So that should be enough power?
