how do i attach center caps to wheels

I have the 16" 5 spoke angular wheels and the chrome center caps from ford. The lug nuts are the short acorn style. The caps dont snap into place, it seems like the lug nuts arent long enough to stick ut far enough to reach the connecting point on the back of the cap or the lug bolt isnt long enough. Please help me with this, wheels are on and when i went to snap caps in place realized there was an issue. Thanks!!

Acorn style nuts are incorrect for use with the late model Ford center caps. You need factory style lug nuts.

I figured it out, they r not acorn style and stupid me, last night while rushing couldn't get them on, today snapped right on, thanks!!
