I have a '97 2.3L auto and I destroyed the rubber bushings in the crossmember when I dropped the transmission(my bad). I've found a '97 4.0L auto and a '97 2.3L manual but they're about 90 miles away. I could spend the $25 in gas and 4 hours of my Sat. to drive up there and check but I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me if one of them would work. Thanks.

I believe they are the same, all of my builds were orginally 5 spds, so I can't say for sure, but when I look it up in the Ford catalogin system, it doesn't list a difference.

Might wanta check LMC truck, as they are repoppin alot of Ranger stuff.
