Hey Guys, Ignore the title, I meant to say driveshaft.

I have a 2000 4.0 4x4 Auto Tranny Ranger. The front driveshaft and/or it's rear CV joint are completely shot so I've been reading up on replacements. I've seen some guys that cut the shaft and replace the CV joint with A U joint, so then I started looking into that. I found this shaft on Ebay:

It's for a 4.0L 4wd Auto... albeit an Exploder. Would it be a direct drop in, or would I have to make some modifications?

On a side note, is there an reason I couldn't remove the shaft and drive without it until I have the replacement?... because I'm stuck driving my brother's old Neon until then :p

Also... I found this shaft which says it's for Rangers... looks the same as the Exploder one, but looks nothing like what I have now.

Really, no one knows anything about this?

I wouldn't buy from there.
The shaft is still in the truck...?
and it has over 100,000 miles on it...?

PS have a little patience. We'll try to help but we are not a service desk.

I don't see why you couldnt remove the driveshaft and drive it. You just wouldn't have 4wd is all
