3rd 2011 Florida Meet Plannin Thread

We can just talk about where we could go, what times, what to do, maybe camp out overnight, go out to eat, and who is bringing what. I know it was easier for everyone when I just bought everything and you guys payed me back but it didn't work as planned for me and I didn't even make back what I payed to get the food. I was $30 short so maybe if people could just help out a little more and contribute more items or whatnot cause it's pretty tough getting the meet all together. Making sure that those who are coming are accounted for is a daunting task by itself so it would be nice to get some help with getting food and plates and garbage bags like we did the first time. If we have multiple people bringing different items we need to the meet, then it just makes things much easier instead of it being a one man show. Shaun has offered to remind everybody about the food and other contributions, but we still need the rest of you to contribute to make the next meets even more enjoyable than the previous ones.
we dont want to do them to often cus then they lose there big huge meet experience so lets keep them atleast couple months apart.

Just to let those newer people know that this is just the planning thread there will also be another official thread with all the info needed so don't say something here and stop talking because we need to know who is coming so chat it up and periodically tell us you're coming or else we won't account for you and you'll be out in the water

You don't have to make it to every single one man.lol. The chances of having one down by you are slim because most of us are really far from you, especially Richard and I. I've made the trip to Lantana(West Palm) before, that is not a fun trip.lol.

-Still need to make up an engine cage
-Clock the the t-case down some
-Make a new trans/t-case mount
-Swap the the stock booster/master cylinder for a F450 hydroboost
-A lot of electrical wiring

We have a small problem with two meets going on close to each other. One is pretty soon, the other will be after that. I don't think we've settled on a place yet. There are a few of us closer to Ocala that could do an Ocala mini-meet if Ocala is ruled out but some still wanna play around up here.

It's a 93 xlt 4x4 4.0 5spd reg cab. I beleive it already has a lift because it is on 31's and has tons of clearance. Might possibly be able to clear 33's, gonna do some measuring when I get it.
I am hoping to get new tires on it before the meet.

Yea it does. I was really excited to get my ranger which will also be my first vehicle.

I'm undecided on weather or not I should get it or not since it has 230,000 miles and it acted up... But when it was running good it had tons of power and it has front and rear hitches which will make good tow points when I have to pull someone out. And it clears 31's with only minor rub when the wheel is fully turned.

I'm going to wait and hear from the guy, then I'll make my decision.

Splitting the bill was what was supposed to happen the last two times. But both times one or two members pretty much got pinned to foot at least half of the bill. It's great when someone volunteers to foot the entire bill, but it really should be an entire group effort so nobody has to spend a bunch of money by themselves that they could use towards modding their truck.

I'll have to check the rule book I picked up 3 weeks ago but I'm pretty sure I read Nov is open gun season and you have to camp at designated sites...I'll scan it so you all can check it out when I find it....I'm ready didn't get to go camping last year

Pretty sure deer season with a gun starts Nov 19th til sometime in Jan. Salt Springs has a nice camp site and is pretty much smak dab in the middle of the national forest. Could always go primitive camping wich is what i like....:)

I almost lost the truck driving saturday night in the storm, I was on my way back from a movie with some girls and the wind was wipping so hard it was throwing my truck all over the roadand at like 30 mph a huge gust came threw and i over compensated and during this it was pouring and i spun the truck in a 360 in the road but luckly no one was around cus they were smart not to be driving haha. Almost got everything for the official thread!
