:)this is my first vehicle i love it!

my question is, how big of tires can i put on it stock? i belive the bolt pattern in 14x6, and the rims are 14in? correct me if wrong?

im looking for some bigger, more agressive tires.
like the bfg all terrains..

would you reccomed buying lifts kits from ebay? im looking at 3in lifts..
how big of tires could i fit with a lift.

thanks for your time!!!!

Bolt pattern is 5x4.5. 14x6 would be the wheel size. I would suggest getting some 15x8 wheels. With stock suspension you can get 30s on there.

here's a link to tire and lift combo's from the rangerstation that may help

ok thanks! would it look stupid with a 3in lift and 29s? i dont want to trim any fenders etc..

i would prolly buy the wheels/tires first, so they would need to fit stock. then buy the lift

what rims and tires are those? might be a stupid question i dont know if you guys can tell, id like those tires on stock rims.. id just like wider tires tbh

try to get some rims and tires from a explorer, perfect fit and good price

If you get a 3" lift, I would go at least 31s.

That pic has some sort of american racing wheel IIRC. Look to be BFG M/t tires. Look to be 31x10.5 on some 15x8s

id only get a 3in body lift?

id only get a 3in body lift?

That's about as big as they come unless you do custom stuff....
If you want more than 3" you should look into suspension lifts.

i know im just saying i dont need 31s for a 3in body lift do i?

that guy said he reccomended atleast 31s with a 3in lift.. a 3in susp lift is ALOT bigger than a 3in body lift right? so would 30s look dum with a 3in body lift?

Well I'm not sure just how much lower a 2wd is than a 4wd. I have the stock Wranglers on my 4x4 and the diameter is about 30.5". Actually my tires are probably closer to 30" now since there's not too much tread left. So a 2wd truck lifted to 4x4 height or a little higher would look fine with 30's in my opinion, but 31's would still look a bit better with a lift.

08-25-2009, 05:10 PM
Yea 30s would be fine. You would be a little higher than a stock 4x4. They will look a little on the small side. I ran a 3" lift on my coil 2wd and ran 32s.

sorry im totaly new to this. first vehicle. but as far as i know, my front suspension is coils/shocks.. so thats a 3in suspension lift or body lift?

also what tires/rims are those? is that the truck thats in ur sig?

08-26-2009, 05:33 PM
That has a 3" spindle on it, with an add-a-leaf and lift shackle in the back.

It is running eagle alloy 087s in 15x8 on 32x11.5 Big O Bigfoot A/Ts.

I no longer have the truck I posted. Traded it in a couple years ago. I now have the one in my avatar/sig.

ok thanks! do you know where i could find some cheap rims? or what would be a good rim thats stock for another vehicle in the 15x8 or 15x9 size.

I bought mine off ebay, around $300 for all 4. Check craigslist. you want a 5x4.5 bolt pattern. Jeep wheels will fit as well as explorer wheels. want 4" backspacing at the most.

08-27-2009, 02:10 PM
ok, how do i check what the back spacing is?

08-27-2009, 06:03 PM
Well if buying an aftermarket wheel, that measurement will be in the specs. If you are buying another OEM wheel for either Ford or Jeep, you will be fine.

08-28-2009, 07:25 PM
so any jeep wheels or ford wheels will fit fine? so ill prolly get some stock wheels (15x7) with 30s, will it rub?

im thinking like 30x9.5 or 30.10.5? on 15x7 rims?
