View Full Version : Suggestions for a good floor jack?

My current jack is a little spider jack that was fine for lifting my Impala, but it just wont do the job for the Ranger as it's just too short. Does anybody have recommendations for good floor jacks that have enough reach to lift a 4x4 far enough to use jack stands under the frame, that also wont break the bank?

i have the harbor freight 3 ton jack works great got on sale and used a 20% off coupon too.
i think you can find a 20% off coupon on the net

my wife got me a set last year from sears for $120 and it came with a nice 3 ton floor jack, 2 jack stands and a creeper.

You're better off printing the coupon, and taking it to a local store. The oversize/weight freight charge will be enormous... Plus the stores honor online coupons, unless of course you just find a code on a random website.

my wife got me a set last year from sears for $120 and it came with a nice 3 ton floor jack, 2 jack stands and a creeper.

I have a craftsman jack that doesnt stay up. They said its something to do with the seals but they refused to fix or replace it. They keep trying to talk me into this rebuild kit for it.

Here's the jack I have, Jet 3 ton:

thats sucks, sears customer service isnt known for being that great. ive never had any issues with my jack though, just used it today to rotate the tires on my F-150.

lol, I paid $60 for the jack and 4-6 ton jackstands :bootyshake:


But I allready told you how I got the jackstands...

I got the same one. Its great. Use them all the time, no problems.
