Well started out by cleaning the truck several times using a good automotive cleaner until she looked good and clean.(It was dirty)
Also scrubbed tires/rims.

Used Simple Green and scrub brush to remove bugs. All of em, and it took a while.

Then Used Pre Wax Stripper/Cleaner
Buffed off

Now I clay barred It.
I used the mothers kit and must say I am glad you guys showed me this stuff.

Very impressed.

Next I used the Mothers three step wax.
Basically buff on and buff off three products.

After that I used a good quality interior detailer on the flares and black bumper plastic which gave a nice shine. But still see a bit of wax on the flares..Will try simple green.

Next I used my dremmel, some chrome polish and went at rims, bed bar, off road lights, and tow hooks. Being careful not to get on clean truck, argh)
Each was followed with the metal polish powerball as i went.

I think one thing i will say is good clothes, shammys etc make this job a lot easier.
These pics are after a one hour drive through the country but I think she looks good.

Thought i was gonna have time to do engine and interior in one day but thats this week i hope.
All in all it took 5 hours, and a half dozen cold ones.
