Anybody done this, know anybody thats done this?

It's a beastly engine that would be basically amazing to put in a ranger.
Wondering if anybody has done it, and what problems they came upon

The engine in question is a Ford 427 FE engine. 616Hp and 415 lb/ft. :D

Not that I have seen, but I am sure it's possible. Good start would be to pull your core support and start test fitting with the engine and trans attached. Headers/exhaust will definitely be an issue with the steering, will probably have to route outside of the frame rails and maybe modify the steering shaft. But then again, need to get it where you think it'd be good and test fit. Just need to do it, sooner you start on it, the sooner it'll be done.

Are you talking about the stroked and punched out 351 block? Check how they can stuff a 351 in a ranger.

No he's talking about the FE 427. Which weighs about 300lbs more than the bored & stroked 351 - 427 engine.
