I have a 96 Ranger 2wd 4.0 V-6 and I want to run a "true dual"(no cats)exhaust system my shop says I buy the mufflers and they estimate $250-350 so what mufflers,size of pipes and tip length do you recommend?

do NOT run true dual you will lose all your low end power. and you should keep your cats. you are not losing any power due to them.
get a catback setup and the cost is less than your estimate

the cats do take away power, running true duels wont decrease power either. just make sure you don't get inspections were you live or you will fail the inspection if you take the cat's off.

use 2.5in. piping with 8in. tips with a single chamber muffler of some sort. kinda like mine :D
