So easy to make a glib misinformed statement. Crunch the numbers and you will see what the entire automotive world knows about diesel costs.
And no one suggested you sell your diesel.... but you know best. But please, I am talking about a diesel in a Ranger and you changed the subject to a big F350.
I had a 2001 F350 7.3 superduperduty diesel dualie because I needed a rig for towing cattle. The first issue was towing ability and I knew the cost of the engine would not be amortized during my ownership period. Additionally, the cost of running and maintaining that diesel was significant but it did the work and did it well.
But no one with any sense buys a little Ranger with its light weight and short wheelbase to do serious towing so the need for a diesel is moot in the U.S.A.
