My first 'Oh sh!t' moment came when I was drivin my Caprice down the highway on a warmer than usual winter morning. The roads were slushy, and I couldn't figure out why people were driving so slow. I didn't realize why until I tried to stop for the police cruiser in the left lane about 300 feet in front of me. I jammed on the brakes with both feet, and stopped about 3 feet from his rear bumper, to which he gets out and says "Are you ok?" And after saying yes, he tells me to slow down and take it easy. My heart didn't slow down until about 2 hours later. I could see me getting my license taken away, fines, points, etc etc
