the CEL was your friend. I would get a scanner and try and catch a pending code. could be MAF, ECT, fuel pressure?..........I would start doing the maintenance on it.....clean the MAF, IACV, PCV, fuel filter etc. check the air-filter and intake and make sure nothing got clogged in there. also look for a cracked vacuum hose.
