Default Re: cluster swap dual plug

I swapped in a tach cluster on my 99 2.5 truck from a 99 explorer that had a V6, the biggest part I will warn you about is the speedometer since I recommend retaining your old speedometer/odometer setup. I know in the full size trucks a different speedo wouldnt work outside of the original vehicle I just swapped them out. The only problem I had was the calibration of the speedo afterwards. (since you have to remove the needle) Theres a procedure you can find on youtube that requires the use of a AA battery, I suggest if you want to try that check into it before you take anything apart. The other way is to drive down the road with your cluster apart and use gps to determine your speed and then shove the needle on in the right place. Other than that little problem it's a pretty straightforward procedure and only requires a few small metric sockets.
