look here
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...nversions.html

i found a write up and it says
You basically have (3) choices when it comes to exhaust manifolds for your V-8:

1) Early to mid 1970's exhaust manifolds

2) Explorer 5.0L exhaust manifolds

3) Advance Adapters exhaust manifolds

thank you this doesnt sound very right but the manifolds look identical to the 70s ones although its an 83 but i think this may be the perfect donor car its got the double sump oil pan an aod transmission witch somone correct me if im wrong but i guess it should just bolt right in and not even have to get a new drive shaft since my truck has an overdrive transmission and the car is fuel injected so i wont have to worry about the fuel pump the duraspark 2 ignition why dont more people use these

the manifolds on my donor car look just like that but its an 83 grand marquise could they be the same anyway
and the radiator my truck is a 2.3 can i just buy a brand new spectra radiator for a same year 4.0 model 2wd from autozone for 125 which i dont think is to expensive and just bolt right in

There have been many members of The Ranger Station forums that have used the stock 4.0L radiator successfully with a small block Ford V8. If your Ranger doesn't have a 4.0L in it now, look for a radiator from a 1991-1994 Ford Explorer which is a direct bolt in. The 1995+ Explorer radiator will require modifications to the core support to get it to fit.

that write up says : The problem with exhaust manifolds is having enough clearance between the engine and frame rail. The nice thing about the 1970's exhaust manifolds is that they don't have any downward flanges that might point the exhaust in to the frame rail. An exhaust shop will easily be able to plumb an exhaust system that will clear the frame rail and firewall.

see this is what they say works

well i really want to get every thing right the first time but im trying to do this with a minimal expense but of course im not just gonna skip a step to save some money and have it turn out like a POS so i stated looking through craigslist and the ranger station says the problem with manifolds what about headers

could these work i also talked to my dad and hes says he may have some old 70s manifolds he got from one of our neibors a while ago i guess they were on his truck before he scraped it or sumthing idk so hopefully ill find those and be good to go but if not these headers maybe???
