Default 1st gen Ranger t5 clutch cable conversion

How do you do this? I have a 87 ranger with the 2.3 and TK 5 speed. So I have the hydraulic clutch. How do I convert this set up to a 93 mustang t5 with a manual clutch? Can I use my original pedal assembly? What do I do for the transmission crossmember? Is there a way to locate where to cut the shifter hole before I buy an engine? I don't know how soon it will be until I get a 5.0 so I wanna get everything I can done until then to do with the transmission.

another option is using the ranger master with an external slave cylinder to the fork on the side of the T-5, otherwise you're going to have to make the Ranger pedal in the cab cable operated (rangers were never cable clutch, so you'll need to get creative, but it has been done before).

Ok how hard is setting up an external slave? What of the original system can I use?

Bump, curious about using stock clutch hydraulics on a t5.

you keep the ranger master, and use an external slave on the t-5 instead of a cable. a few different slaves have been used, I would suggest searching on google for Ranger v8 swaps with t-5 for visual examples.

Ok, I know that you convert it to hydraulic. My concerns were with slave cylinder. I found some at Jegs. I just haven't done much work with clutch systems so I wanted to know that I wasn't missing anything. Thanks.

I'll post a link in here with how I ran mine. I have a Total Performance external slave cylinder on my T-5.
