Which is completely moot since you didn't actually post the link to the thread anyway. Maybe you should try getting your own posts right before complaining about mine. |

Dont worry Matt there is 69 pages of nothing about the performance mods to support the 1000HP claim

oh, surprise surprise.
This is the reasoning behind me calling BS.
1) No explanation. If you have an engine that built up, you're gonna have something to say about it.
2) No evidence. No dyno results. No list of mods.
3) Intentionally vague. See #1.
4) Videos and pictures that intentionally show no detail
5) "1000+ HP". If you had a motor that actually produced that, you would say the real number. Not a vague "xxxx+" figure.
6) Someone coming on here and defending him, with an equally meaningless post.
7) Speaking to my friends who are diesel nuts, they laughed.

Which leaves what little he has posted here, and that screams "full of shit". I could certainly be wrong, but given the OP's complete evasion of questions and meaningless videos, I don't think my assumption of crap is that far fetched. | You asked the question one day ago. LOL Quote:

1) No explanation. If you have an engine that built up, you're gonna have something to say about it. I'll takle this one by one. Forgive me if it gets a little cloudy, its 5:17 am, and I just flew the allnighter from LAX to Orlando. I am a little tired. Yes, I was the guy driving the plane, or would you like to call bullshit on that too?
Engine: 2004 6.0 liter powerstroke, bored 40 over with 10 thou reduced compression height pistons, custom crower, (set one of one) billet rods, with a further reduction in compression height of 15 thou. Torque plate honed block, (the only torque plate for a 6.0 in existance, I know, because I made it!) Both heads and block decked to zero tolerance. Ported heads with custom valves, Shelby KR cobra bee hive valve springs, (heads were machined to make them work). Custom, (only one in existance) Crower camshaft. Stock crank, balanced, (all machine work and engine assembly done by Dave Crop of CHS racing in Austin Texas, (he built all of DOn Garlitts motors) Twin turbo's, Sponsored by Borg/Warner, and plumbed by Trusted Performance. Low pressure is a 71 MM inducer with a 110 a/r, and High pressure is a 66 with an 81 a/r. Water methanol injection sponsored by Matt Snow, of Snow performance. TS performance two stage, (converted to a 3 stage) Nitrous kit. Custom 340CC injectors, (stock are 135's). Custom tuning by Eric at Innovative diesel performance using an SCT livewire. Fully ported custom intake from Doug at Direct injection performance. TCI, first and only 5r110 transmission with billet input shaft and 3500 stall converter. 4 link suspension attached to narrowed, (42" to be exact) Sterling 10.5" ford rearend with detroit locker and 3:73 gears supplied by Randy's ring and pinion turning mark Williams axles. Strange double adjustable coil over shocks in the rear, stock up front still. All chassis work done by Gene Feldhans, (owner, builder and driver of stroked lightning, used to be the worlds fastest powerstroke truck) in Oxnard California, on Wooley drive. 12 point rollcage by me! Wilwood 4 piston rear calipers with a hydroboost system from an f-250. I might have left out a few details, but I have been awake for 23 straight hours.
2) No evidence. No dyno results. No list of mods. http://www.competitiondiesel.com/for...ad.php?t=13067 http://www.powerstrokenation.com/for...ad.php?t=17875 http://therangerstation.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=65886
oh yeah and there is this: http://www.rangerpowersports.com/for...d.php?t=262264
Thats me with a good friend, THE Jeff Garmon. Do a search for his name, you might be a little surprised.
Wait, one more, this is a full page add for my exhaust sponsor. It runs in Diesel world magazine monthly. That's me standing next to the ranger.
Want some pictures, here are a few more: http://www.powerstrokenation.com/pho...ge=1&ppuser=27
3) Intentionally vague. See #1.
Sorry, I was a little busy putting in 5 13 hour days last week on the ranger trying to finish for its debut race.
4) Videos and pictures that intentionally show no detail
Its on 5 other sites. I had an invite to join this one so I did late that evening of the first post after working on the truck.
5) "1000+ HP". If you had a motor that actually produced that, you would say the real number. Not a vague "xxxx+" figure. Hasn't been on a dyno. Its called an estimate. Its based off of my good friend Shawn Ellerton, owner builder and driver of the worlds most powerful 6.0 dynoed at 1004 HP at the rear wheels. He has slightly less done to his motor, and laid down the 1004 with a bad #7 cylinder. Many variables that may or may not mean I make 1004 or "1000+" right out of the gate, but you can bet your ass I won't stop till I make 1005!
6) Someone coming on here and defending him, with an equally meaningless post.
7) Speaking to my friends who are diesel nuts, they laughed. Your friends are idiots apparently. If they would like to discuss it, I would be more than happy to entertain them all day. Let me guess, they have K&N filters and a Banks module on their truck? | Perhaps you should do a little more looking around before you discount someone you don't have a clue about. I don't normally talk about myself much, but since you seem to want to be up my ass with a microscope, I'll fill in a few details for you. I am one of 5 owners of the worlds #1 performance diesel site, www.competitiondiesel.com. I happen to own the truck you don't think exist. I also happen to have been building it for the past 2+ year, (sorry to be vague on the timeline, I know how you hate that!). I was one of the first guys to have a high HP 6 liter. I have a dyno slip with 581hp and 999 tq on fuel only from Dave Dunbars Dyno from 3 years ago. I have done more with a diesel than you will ever imagine. Most recently, I was offered the driving position for John Robinson's, Texas diesel power funnycar, but turned it down to work on my project.
I have been around the sport of diesel drag racing for more than a day or two, and I don't know who your friends are, but here are a few of mine.

yeah diesels can make a bunch of power, with 7.3 and 6.0 its a little more difficult due to the complicated and expensive HEUI setup on it, but 1000+ is achievable. early diesels are easier because they got a simple pump, and for starts you can turn one up, which is like getting a tuner for a modern one.
Here is a good example of a turned up pump or this AND HERE IS A FORD CUMMINS MAKING 1374 HP 2500+ ft/lbs

The Heui oil systems have come a long way. I run an adrenaline pump from Dieselsite. Their are also Hybrid injectors available now, instead of using the 7:1 ratio needed for the Heui system it changes the ration on the injector, allowing for more injection pressure with less High pressure oil being needed. The old 12v cummins is great, the new Commonrails are making 1000+ without an issue either. The new powerstroke 6.4, predecessor to the 6.7 coming in the 2011 superduties, are making 700 HP on fuel with a tuner and DPF delete pipe. But I am sure Firerangers buddies can tell him that.

You want me to apologize for your own vague meaningless posts with no information?? No. You didn't bother to post anything but "look at me, i have 1000hp". Would you believe that line with nothing but a 12 second video and a picture of the truck with the hood closed????
You're truck is amazing BTW.

No actually I could care less. Your about the 10000th person to call BS. As far as if I would believe it, probably not, however, I would have handed it completely different, a: I would have waited more than a few hours for a response, and B,perhaps if it was vaugue, ask about it before you discount it. In all seriousness, I could care less. When you do what I did, you want to have thick skin. Thanks for the compliment.

Not sure, but I will say that a good friend of mine, Jeff Garmon puts 12v cummins in 1/2 ton 1500 dodges, and gets upwards of 40-45. Driving it on the highway at 55 they achieved 50 in a ""Diesel Power" magazine test last year. Figure torque just off idle is at 500+ so it takes nothing to keep it going.
