if you want to do something original go grab a jaguar v12 and throw it in there like i saw one at the junkyard the other day and was slightly tempted to grab it but didnt have the funds lol

i dont see very many bigblock builds or any dodge motors in a ranger grab yourself a 360 and be unique lol

but if it was me it would be a ford motor but my last name is ford so thats to be expected
but yeah im getting a bit sick of seeing 350's in everything saw an original shelby cobra body someone shoved a 350 into..

I'm also getting sick of seeing 350's in everything. The 350 is an official "me too" engine
A 350 in a Shelby Cobra?! That's Sacrilege

Ok, ok. STUPID question coming.........................

How about the FORD 4.2L? Yea, I know NOT much more than a 4.0L, BUT, with better injectors & a few extra hop ups (Intake, P&P, etc), I think this will not only fit easily, but haul azz! Besides, 2 EXTRA cylinders, MORE torque for BIGGER tires, & prob a bit better top end!

My reason; We had a F150 in the shop the other day, checking it out for the used car lot I've been working as a mechanic for going on 2 yrs now, & even the transmission APPEARED to be close to the 4.0L. Didnt have 2 long to look, as I was on a freakin water pump on a 96 Rodeo (3.2L......can u say PAIN right square in the A**!)

On another note, before being a mechanic where I am now, I had previous mechanice exp. from about 15 yrs ago. FOR 13.5 years.

i could see why some gets kinda upset about the the 350 cuz every ones got 1 in their ride. i got 3 of them. got it in a 79 and 98 camaro (98 is bored 40 over and some odd specs) and one on the stand ready to be put in a 90 s10 ... so yeah alot of people have 350s but i wouldnt say its original but i like what kinda hp it puts out. but i do like reds volvo swap lol does that thing give you good mpg's
