Default 86 to 03 302 v8

Hey guys, this is my first post. I actually just made the account to post this question. I have an 03 2wd XLT supercab auto trans with a 3.0 V6 engine. The 3.0 is great! Running strong with only 104,000 miles, but summer's coming up and I'm looking into having some fun with my stock ranger. I was thinking of putting a 302 V8 in it. Now before you say there are tons of threads with how tos, my question is a little different. I actually found a 86 Ranger auto trans with a 302 already swapped in close to me for sale. I was wondering if I buy the 86 will I have everything I need to be able to swap the engines?(Trans, computer, all the parts etc). Thanks in advance.

depends on the set up of the other ranger if its carb'd or EFI,

just buy the other ranger and finish if it isnt done and enjoy that

The other one is finished, but I just bought mine in July and like mine better, I bought mine in almost perfect condition and would like it to be my project.

Well the guy who is selling it didn't build it he bought it as is, so I don't see a problem switching the engines. That's the only mod done otherwise it's just an old truck with faded paint and probably rust. I heard that when you get the engine from an explorer you still have to buy a bunch of other stuff to make it fit, that's why I thought maybe this would be an easier way.
Thanks for the quick replies!
