im thinking of doing a 302 swap in my 83 ranger 2wd. i was wondering how hard it is and if i can do it for cheap like 2000 or under. so if you could help please help.

All depends on how good a scrounger you are and your mechanical & fabricatin skills.

I've got around $2500 in my green 94, I made & modified things, and feel I have good mechanical skills.

Your gonna have to modify or remove the heater box, need a bigger radiator just for starters.

jegs has a conversion kit for 400 bucks has all needed mounts headers and oil filter relocator and u should be able to find motor for around 300
