Default Need help with driveshaft on v8 swap

I have an 87 extended cab 2wd v6 automatic. i swaped out the v6 for a 302 aod setup, i got the motor and transmission installed as far back as i could go and now i need a drive shaft that will work, i didnt measure but the original driveshaft was about 8 inches or so short of even touching the tailhousing of my transmission and the yoke splines are way too small so i decided to ditch that draiveshaft all together. i am planning on staying with the 7.5 in the truck for now i measured and it looks like about 67" from center to center on the u joints. the truck originally had a two peice driveshaft with a carrier bearing. i realize i could probably get a two piece from a f150 but i would probably have to get it cut down twice and i would like to avoid that just for cost reasons. i was wondering if anyone knew of any ford vehicles that had a 67" or longer one piece drive shaft, or if anybody had a similar situation and what type of shaft they used

any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

When I built an extended cab 5.0 I reused the original driveshaft. I had to have it shortened like an inch and a half. Weird how yours is so much shorter..

Call around and find somewhere that makes driveshafts....

I have a T-5 and it uses the same slip yoke as the AOD. I bought it new off ebay because mine got rusty. I believe the AOD, T5, and C4 all share the same splines. Check around, you'll find one cheap.
