1998 Ranger V8 swap question

Okay so recently I have been looking into swapping out my 3.0L for something newer and more powerful. Ive read quite a bit on here about the 5.0L swap which is what I am looking at, but I'm looking for a list of everything I would need to do the swap so I can start finding the parts.

I new to the rangers so any help is appreciated. And a ballpark figure on the cost of a complete swap.

Go to the website called "The Ranger Station". They'll have a complete list of parts and a rough estimate of what it would cost for you to complete this swap. Here's another link that you might want to check out as well:

This guy also has a list of parts he used for his swap, some photos of other V8 rangers, and a video clip of his project after he got it running. The websites I gave you should be enough to help you get started with your project.

^ Those websites are filled with good info like Steve said. If you have any questions during the swap, I may be able to help, I am almost finished doing it to my 2000 with a T-5 in it and other people here have done it as well. You need to decide whether you are doing EFI or Carb, there is info out there for both but EFI is going to probably be easier especially if you get a 5.0 from an explorer.
