Does any body know what trannys will bolt up to a 5.0 im thinking of getting a 4x4 1999 explorer with a 5.0 to swap into my 1999 ranger.

If your ranger is 2wd than you can use a C4 or a C6. The C4 is best because of the size of the bellhousing. Use a 157Tooth Bellhousing and flywheel and starter and it fits real nice. Also if fitted properly the drive shaft will work with only a front yoke change.

mine is a 4x4 i know this makes it harder but 2wd is not an option for where i live
