It will save your left leg in traffic jams and from having to replace broken cables after every 6 months or so. Good luck with the rest of the install though.
Scott...
You're right about those cables man, they suck. The throttle body/ cable is giving me fits as we speak.

Got the carb and alternator bracket mounted today. Made a custom cable mount plate that mounts to the carb stud and it just so happened to work out that a raised edge on the carb stops the plate from spinning if the cable should ever try to pull it back. Also put the carb spacer plate in for more airflow

Try not to break it during the first week out, have fun. Were you able to make the hydraulic clutch work? I went through no less than 6 different cable hookup mods to make it stronger only to have the cable break each time.

Welcome to the club...

lol thanks! I am doing the cable setup for now, actually the arm bent on the pedal so I need to reinforce it, I will try that until I give up and then probably go to hydraulic like you did.

You'll need some fairly stiff steel stock around 3/16" thick, got all the spare parts from when it was in mine. I think there's a pic on my cardomain page showing it.

What engine did you have before you started? I had the 2.5, so I had to buy motor mounts from a 4.0 and have custom plates made. There is a picture in my build thread. Link is in my sig.

I did a street truck build I didn't want 4x4. You can run a f150 trans a t case but some moding will be needed due to the size of the t case the fifty uses

That's a great project and should be bad ass when you're done. I've been checking out the swaps that are out there. It's very tempting.
