If you add a huge cam and port the already massive heads you can bolt on up to 700hp easy. You start hoppin up a chevy now you need a new crank, pistons, heads, everything but the block itself cant handle much more than stock hp so in the long run I paid less for my "bullet proof" 450hp cobra jet. don't believe the chevy hype, you get what you pay for. My Harvester ruined me for all other trucks, but since their gone, ford has been number one.

yea, im not dropping it in till spring, i was just hoping someone has done the math on what springs fit and restore ride height, if someone makes a trans and motor mount conversion kit so i dont have to weld in junk yard mounts to the frame. when I had the f150 jeffs bronco graveyard had everything, any ranger sites like this???

When u guys say plug and play do you mean i have to take the wiring harness from the explorer and put it in the ranger? and wont the computer read 2000 explorer(i have a 2000 ranger) when i get an emissons test but the person can see its a ranger? Also what about insurance and dmv records?

Also im deciding weather to do sas or v8 swap next year. Roughly what do each cost?

Im in the middle of my 5.0 swap from a 1990 gt with the t5, its cammed, and has the cobra manifold and injectors going in my 2000 ranger, check my thread

I plan on doing a 302 swap in a few years....could use as much info as I can get...

1999 ranger 3.0ffv auto 4x4....currently has 62k on the engine...15k on tranny...and about 185k on the truck as a whole..

Heres a question...will all my 3.0 stuff go back into the explorer??? To make it driveable, resaleable?
Assuming the donor isnt wrecked.....like if i found a good 99 explorer...and just swapped everything...

Well the ranger didnt have a 5.0 option...if all the stuff from the explorer bolts into the ranger you would think all the ranger stuff would bolt into the explorer...
