Yeah. I see were your coming from, and in a perfect world I would have more time. But I really dont. I think that I can get this done in 7 days. I figure I have 2 days to pull the motor, 2 days to drop it back in. And 3 days to wire it up. Which is mostly plug and play from what I understand. If I cant do this in that time frame, I can get a ride to work for a few days.

Heres a question that needs to be asked..."what is wrong with your current engine and tranny?"

If there is nothing wrong with them and they have plenty of life left in them, why bother pulling them out?

I plan on doing a 302 swap too...but not for a few years.....my engine had only 65k on it and my tranny has only about 20k.

And you already have a 4.0.....not a 3.0 like me...

Well, my engine seems good, but the tranny is starting to shift hard a down shifting their is a clunk. Now dont get me wrong, I could probably put another 100, 000 miles on the truck. But I currently have no others expenses but gas, so now is the best time to do this. Well this summer is.
