My 302 Swap - Banger91

Hey guys, I have not been on here in forever, But I have run ito some problems on my 302 swap and don't know what else to do. I have a 91 ford ranger and the 302 is out of a 96 ford explorer. Now I'm not sure what to do for a transfer case. I have been told that the awd one out of the explorer will not work unless I have the front driveline hooked up. So I bought a manual t-case out of a 87 fs ford bronco. the splines fit but the t-case is so big it will not fit in between the frame rails... So I'm not sure what else to do. The original 4.0ltr t-case does not fit either. So you guys with the 4x4 5.0 rangers, what did you guys use for a transfer case???? Do I have to get one custom made or something??

I'm using a C4 with Advance Adapter to the stock BW1350. The tried and true Dana 20 is tough and can be adapted also. Advance Adapters makes about anything you need to put things together. I'm new at this, but hope it's some help.
