ok, I have a few questions. Will I have to have a custom drive shaft made? And reading on other forums I read that the explorer motor mounts don't bolt up if you have a 2wd 4 cyl with a coil spring front end. And has anybody ran the return fuel line on a ranger yet? tia!

He said it runs about $50...guessing you take it to a welder...maybe someone at a muffler shop could help.

There is a shop that specializes in driveshafts around here. I guess I better give them a call. Thanks

Looks like it's progressing right along. Paid about $100 to get my driveshaft shortened at a specialist shop. Managed to get a hold of an Explorer rear with discs and found it's not a limited slip, probably order the differential through summit. Did come with 31 spline axles and purchased leaf spring supports to get welded on this week.

And get a new radiator and trans mount, both were messed up in the wreck. Sounds like you are about to (or have) already got yours going!

Sounds like you are about to (or have) already got yours going! | Been driving for the last 2 1/2 years with the small 7.5 rear and finally getting it changed out. Why not get it done when having to change out the clutch and flywheel at the same time. The clutch can be a pain in seattle traffic but the auto should give an advantage, especially when towing large loads.
Went through Advanced Adapters for the engine mounts, modded radiator, headers and remote oil adapter. Really sped up the installation process, had the money at the time...
Got all the pics on my cardomain page under the same username in case you wanted to check it out.

Just watch it with the throttle, it's gotten me in trouble a couple of times. Had to remember it's a Ranger, not a Mustang. Have fun with it when you get it done.
