I also welded super pivots to the rear axle at the four link brackets. I went with super pivots because they will allow side to side action without binding up. Also, by welding them to the axle rather than the crossemeber, the bags will stay plumb throughout the range of motion.

I also welded two crossbars between the notches to strengthen everything up. Here is a pic of one of them.

The passenger side front upper bag bracket went on like a breeze. The driver side needed to be notched a bit due to the bulge in the frame rail.

Yup. It's out of an 86 mustang. It's 0.030 over, forged pistons, B-303 cam, E-7 heads, timing gears not chain, performer intake and edelbrock carb. Not much but it's a start.
