Default f150 to ranger full conversion

hello everyone, I have kind of a crazy idea. but I think the end result would be amazing; I want to swap everything (engine, transmission, axles, wiring harness etc) from my 97 f150 4x4 4.6 manual 5 speed, to a ranger.

I don't know if anyone has done something like this before. I got insurance money from my f150, (due to a wheel falling off while driving [no damage to axle]) and think it would be bad ass to throw it in a ranger. basically. I understand it would be a hell of a conversion that would take a long time with lots of custom parts. which I'm okay with. I just wanna know what you guys think would be the best year ranger to do the swap.

I guess its basically going to be an f150 with a ranger frame and body.

I used to have a ranger, a 98 4.0 4x4 but it had no balls at all. so I got this f150, which i loved to drive because of the power. but the wheel falling off broke my heart. thankfully I'm getting more insurance money back than what i paid for the thing lol

so give me your opinions and suggestions, please. I would appreciate it! thanks!

A few things come to mind...

A 4.6 is able to fit in a Ranger, but it takes A LOT of work.

The rear axle is probably wider than the Rangers and would stick out.

I think the Rangers frame has to be cut back for the transfercase

Would you be keeping the Rangers front axle or the 150s? No idea how hard the 150s might be to swap in.

----------

Overall, I would like to see this happen

Not to thread jack but I got a quick question...from my research I've seen most f150 rear ends are around 65 1/8" wide, most ranger is 58 1/2". When I long travel my truck I want a wider rear end right away...am I able to make an f150's work with a 2000 ranger? Figured it wasn't worth starting a whole new thread since his is related.

Yeah has the same driveshaft flange you would have to cut off and reweld the perches and shock mounts
