Default 1992 Ford Ranger V8 Conversion LOOK

Hello guys My name Is Edgar im from California, im currently in the process of swapping a V8 into my 92 ranger. Im going to need all of your input,advices or tips,suggestions. Thanks in advance

We all car/truck guys need a truck to haul stuff around like motors,wheels,junkyard trips etc... I pick this Ranger up for $350 with a bad clutch the same night saw an AD on Craigslist a guy was looking for a v6 3.0 motor so i called him he came down the next day, and we pulled the motor. 2 weeks later i came across a 90 fox body for real cheap made my money parting out the vert, kept the motor,trans and all wiring for my ranger.

Here are some pics

The night we pulled the motor

Making the motor mount plates at work

came across these Y2k cobra wheels for $100 couldn't pass on them

Finish product i have to notch a piece at the end headers are touching the plate

came across these Tri Y headers for $50 bucks with a nice coat of paint should look nice

Motor is almost done New gaskets

@Rat Ranger

I'm going to be using the 4.0 mounts with these plates , the plates cost around $20 dollars a set bought 3 feet of 3/8 steel for $40 bucks at a local steel shop and the plates I did them on my lunch brake I made 2 sets and for the trans I'm using a C4 with a 157 tooth bell housing .

@rat ranger

the mustang i parted out originally came with a AOD but sold that, i came acrross this mild built C4 for a good deal so im using this for my ranger and yes for the flexplate im using a 157 tooth so im using the smaller bell housing.
