Default 3.0 to 5.0

ok guys so now that tom morana no longer supplies stroker kits for the 3.0 my only real option is to go w/ a 5.0; so i have decided to go w/ the 5.0 out of a 96-01 explorer, as it is the easiest of installs since you just need to change motor, trans, wiring harness, computer, and radiator, then hook up all the accessories plug it in and go. so does anyone out there know of anyone w/ a 5.0 out of an explorer w/ trans and all the other stuff i just listed? i will be looking in the local pick n pull to see if i can luck out

ok guys i have looked all over the internet to see how many people have done the 5.0 swap in a truck as new as mine and found out that not many have mostly due to emissions standards and lack of wanting to do the wiring work needed to hook the explorer engine in w/ the stock ranger gauges and the pats system that haunt the newer trucks...

wouldn't it be just as easy to swap out the gauge cluster and dash wiring harness along w/ the engine harness? this way i don't have to swap out the ignition lock cylinder?

Idk, not an expert on pats...but I would imagine that it requires the same key and ignition for the ECU...Im pretty sure you could swap out the entire explorer dash/cluster for the gauges if you wanted to.

well the only reason i bring up swapping the dash harness and gauges is because of the microprocessor and digital odometer in my truck, and if i swap the harness in the dash then i would eliminate all the pats making the key turn a mechanical action to the rod to an electrical connection to the starter motor and fuel system because in a non pats car thats how i understand it works...
