Made a few passes and had a few problems. The 3:55 gear and 28 tall tire sucks. 12.57 @ 101.89 was the best pass

So you're thinking the engine never really gets into it's power band?

Either shorter tires or a lower gear ratio should net you better acceleration, as long as you keep the RPM's sane.

You've had the truck on a dyno, does the power or torque curve fall off at higher ranges? And if so, are you still short of that cliff at your 101.89?

the camshaft power range is 4,200-7,200. we shift it at 6,000 just because its a stock block. the trq does not drop a lot up high. when making a pass when you go into 3rd gear the rpms drop to 2,900-3,000 range then the 1/4 is over. I think some 4:30 gears are next.

Yep, def time for a change, you're never really getting the thing back into it's power band by the end of the run.

I'm no expert, but high 12's is a 350/375 hp car and you've got a LOT more on tap than that, just gotta find a way to get to it.
