Default V8

As anyone ever done a 5.0 swap while retaining the twin stick setup? Id like to do that to my truck eventually. I've seen threads on how the R2 transmission will work, but someone said the shifter is either set too far forward or backward? I know bob was planning on doing a manual swap in his 5.0 ranger.

I would believe if you put the tranny on a raised crossmember the tc would be right in line.

cross member is all about your drive line angle, that's what really matters

So slapping on a m50D-R2 with a BW manual transfer case would work? Just making sure, because id like to keep twin sticks.

not a 4x4 guy, i don't know a lot about transfer cases or else i would have addressed your question directly, but if you're suggesting using your existing transfer case, you will need an adapter for m5od-r2. this might be some help:

That actually very well answers my question. A m50D r2 will fit along with a manual 4406
