What are my options to take out my v6 4.0 Liter 4x4. out and a V8 in? Does anyone have a parts list or easy recommendation for an easy swap without major modifications? I thought I read somewhere to find a 94 explorer 4 x 4 to get that engine and trans? Please help!

Not trying to be a dick but have you searched at all on here? The 5.0 out of an exp is gonna be your best bet bro there's quite a few people who have done it and posted parts lists and tips and tricks.

they didn't even put 5.0ls in 94 explorers. is the truck in question a 94 or 97? 83-97 are a completely different swap than 98+. '94 is obd-i and '97 is obd-ii. definitely lots of research ahead of you. parts list; it doesn't work that way - there's no one way to do this. research to figure out what will work well with your goal, put it in, and have at it.

I just want to swap over to a v8 and still keep my 4wd .... Any suggestions?

best bet is getting obd-i 5.0 roller motor. are you auto or manual? you want computer and wiring harness to match trans. then get f-150 trans w/ t-case and have your drive shafts redone for length and to work with f-150 t-case. auto things get more complicated because of computer control. f-150 5.0 engines from '92 on were roller engines, so maybe you can just find a complete drive train to swap in.
