The color codes at the factory foglamp switch connector are as follows:
  • Tan/orange = +12v power to the "Foglamps ON" LED
  • Light blue/red = +12V night illumination for the switch icon
  • Light blue/black = switched ground trigger to the Fog Lamp Relay
  • Black = common ground for the above three circuit branches

If the connector is present for the foglamp switch, then the TN/OR and LB/BK wires should go at least as far as the firewall bulkhead connector near the p-brake pedal. Nothing else should need to be added to the the dash harness.

Since it's a V6 truck, it is possible that the TN/OR and LB/BK wires also continue from the firewall connector on to the underhood power distribution box. This needs to be verified on the truck.

Assuming that they are not already present, the Foglamp Relay and Foglamp Isolation Relay would need to be added to the power distribution box. On a 2002/2003 w/factory fogs, these fit into sockets in the driver side rear corner of the box (48A and 48B). Be sure to verify that the receiver pins are present in the box before buying or attempting to install the relays. Without the factory installed pins in the distribution box, it would probably be easier to just use an external accessory relay and wiring instead.

In a truck w/factory fogs, a branch of the tan/orange goes forward from the distribution box and splits into two to go to the individual foglamps. At each foglamp connector, there is a black and a tan/orange wire.
