For tonal quality, I've always heard that the longer the glasspack, the better the sound. That being said, I had a 280z I put a long glasspack on cause it had space to do it and it didn't sound bad at all. Deep...not rattley. Did it sound like a v8? No, but it didn't sound too far off either.
