FX4's aren't locking....every junkyard inventory says they are when they are infact NOT. Just a different limited slip that uses helical gears instead of clutch packs. And yeah, swap it a straight up swap...just gonna need new ubolts for the bigger housing and either drill out your spring plates or get pre '97 F150/bronco spring plates.
