Default Re: A/C troubleshooting

I finally got a chance to look at this a few weeks ago, and I didn't have any luck. I checked fuses #25 and #56a under the hood, and didn't have any luck. The fuse box cover shows where each is located, but #25 was vacant. I pulled #56 but I have no idea how to check it. It's a square fuse with 4 flat prongs. There's no visible way to tell if it's good or not. I'm not very savvy with electrical stuff, so I have no idea what the voltages or resistances should be across any of the poles.

I want to verify that the fuses/switches are all good before I have to go buy a pressure gauge and check for leaks.

TIA
